About our client
Our client, a global industrial supplier, is currently looking for a Category Manager for their Group Headquarters based in Luxembourg.
Job description
- Manage and optimize the respective category according to the goals set by Group Category Management
- Define optimization strategies to realize savings and cost avoidance using standardization, design-to-cost, bundling and supplier concentration, in order to achieve category specific targets
- Develop, implement and control the respective strategy
- Develop low cost country sourcing strategies and monitor the global supplier market
- Coordinates purchasing activities with assigned category on group level
- Manager group-wide category portfolio in coordination with Group Category Management team and Lead Buyers
- Develop forecasts for the specific category and execute reporting procedures according to corporate guidelines
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance to category processes and guidelines
Who we are looking for
- Degree in Business Administration with a purchasing specialization or advanced technical background
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical purchasing, experience in a international engineering company is an asset
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Social competences and interpersonal skills as relationship manager
- Autonomy and receptivity skills
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Willingness to travel (30%)
- Fluent in English
