The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Compliance professional to join a well known, international Trust Company which places the employee at the centre of the company and offers great development perspectives.
The Responsibilities
- Within the company’s Compliance Department, you ensure compliance with laws and internal policies, including monitoring legal developments, drafting new internal policies, maintaining regular contact with competent Regulators
- You manage the validation of client profiles in order to ensure that requirements for compliance procedures, including Money Laundering deterrence, are fulfilled and reported properly, as required locally and by the Group.
- and monitoring AML/KYC issues;
- You provide advice and guidance to other departments, reviewing and reporting upon processes, including reviews of business acceptance
- You manage a team of 3 junior compliance officers
- You assist in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of financial agreements and transactions,
- You provide staff information and training in compliance questions
The Competencies
- You hold a university degree ideally in Law
- You obtained a minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience in compliance
- You have an excellent understanding of the concept of compliance functionality and its impact on and benefit to financial operations
- You have an in-depth knowledge of the anti-money laundering financing regulatory framework, together with exposure to legal and regulatory requirements in Luxembourg
- You are fluent in English (including drafting and reviewing legal documents), able to understand and communicate in French
- You are proactive and interested in expanding your knowledge in compliance issues and in financial law;
- You are able to work under tight deadlines whilst under pressure and to share time among legal and compliance activities;
- You have very good problem solving skills
