Our client is an international Bank. For their operations in Luxembourg we are seeking to recruit a:
Accountant
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Plays an active accounting role and provides general administrative support
- Performs various professional assignments for accounting requirements of the Bank for its affiliates
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Italy branch
- Performs the reconciliation of specific G/L accounts balances and reconciliation of Supplier Statements
- Process payments following approval and ensure timely payment of all transactions
- Transfer of funds between bank accounts
- Booking/reconciling of cash movements.
- Processing and tracking of payment of Accounts Payables.
- Settlement of taxes and other charges.
- Reviews and assists in financial information, such as Trial Balances and SG&A Analysis
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or similar discipline (University Degree 4 years or equivalent)
- 1-2 years experience in Auditing or Accounting
- Experience in financial services or banking
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP’s.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Hyperion Essbase or Oracle a plus)
- Accurate, conscientious and detail oriented
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently but also with a high level of team spirit and orientation
- Very good organisation capacities, strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated
- Very fluent in English
- Another European language such as Italian, German, Spanish, or French would be a plus
