Our client, an international bank and one of the world's most well known providers of funds and securities services, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel, who will report directly to the Managing Director, to join their Luxembourg office.
As Senior legal cousel, you will report directly to the Managing Director and functionally to the Head of Legal in London. Your responsibilities will include:
-Providing Commercial Legal advice to all of our client's staff as needed;
-Drafting legal documentation, including agreements, and drafting, revising and reviewing prospectuses;
-Keeping track of changing regulations that are relevant to the business commercially, and ensuring that the necessary people are informed of these changes;
-Participating in the introduction and on-boarding of Luxembourg based investment schemes as well as its off-shore alternative vehicules; and providing necessary legal advice;
-Advising about the legal risks associated with such investment schemes;
-Acting as a point of contact with clients and external actors, as well as communicating with clients and colleagues about all commercial-related activity;
-Assisting in drafting and revising legal documents with external parties or service providers, and ensuring that administrative legal documents are updated.
Who we are looking for:
-You possess a degree in law; a graduate degree would be an advantage;
-You have at least 7 years of experience in the Luxembourg funds services industry;
-You have previously worked in a law firm;
-You possess thorough knowledge in financial law, banking law and general corporate law;
-You are organized, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and explain difficult subjects;
-You are dynamic, proactive and business minded;
-You display a capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
-You are fluent in written and spoken English.
